Moshe [Rechavia] was the secretary of Yeshiva Eitz Chaim, director of the Va’ad Haklali Fund of Jerusalem, officer and chaplain in the British Legion, and rabbi in Johannesburg. He was also an inventor, specializing in inventions associated with Shabbas observance. He is #994 in Eliezer Rivlin’s Sefer Hayachas, the genealogy of the Rivlin family. (My great-grandmother, Hodel Mann Schnitzer, is #1465.) His mother, Sara Nechama, was daughter of Tzippa Orenstein (#302 in the Rivlin book), whose father was R’ Moshe Magid Rivlin (#174). [1] |
