He was also an inventor, specializing in inventions associated with Shabbas observance. He is #994 in Eliezer Rivlin’s Sefer Hayachas, the genealogy of the Rivlin family. (My great-grandmother, Hodel Mann Schnitzer, is #1465.) His mother, Sara Nechama, was daughter of Tzippa Orenstein (#302 in the Rivlin book), whose father was R’ Moshe Magid Rivlin (#174).  [1]
