Twin to Maria Craver. Dates don't coincide for Cora Craver Baker. Notes from CoMai Wilson on tape 1980: He had 26 living children by at least two wives. Our ancestor was his first wife Henrietta Aldrich who was born in 1830 in Madison County, New Yor. She died in 1880 in Mankato, MN. of cancer of the breast. Her dates are proven by the death certificate of her daughter Cora Craver Baker which states: Wife of B.E. Baker, date of birth, April 2, 1872, died age 52, housewife. Date of death, June 20, 1924 of diabetes. Place of burial, Tahoma,(could not make out from tape). Birthplace, Wisconsin. Father, Peter Craver born in New York. Maiden name of mother Henrietta Aldrich, born in New York, (to Lyman Aldrich). They had 13 children. He then married Hannah Streeter. Grace: I then read from the June 1880 Census, Mankato, MN, which Aunt CoMai had- that is the list of children I listed on Group Sheet. This Census has to be somewhat correct in order of birth, as my Dad, Lambert A. Craver also talked about his favorite Aunt Cora, and he stated that Ellen was the youngest girl, although there seemed to be another one born after-- which Mai or maynot be correct. He also said that his father Ernest T. was the third from the last, which does sound as if the youngest girl that was on the Census Mai not have lived too long. I copied what I have from a copy of the Census that Aunt CoMai had, and it was very hard to make out what the name of that 9 year old was. In my experience the Census's I have studied are not always necessarily correct. I have found my own grandfather with the wierdest spelling of Craver, but the other details were right for him.
16 more living children by at least two wives.
