We found his tombstone at McPhails Cemetery in Wooler, Ont. According to the book "Fragments of a Dream" by L. Dobrzensky, his brothers William & Thomas went to settle in Dysart Twp. Deduction says that James Gainforth (who's tombstone was also in above cemetery) was his father and is probably father to William Gainforth, direct Great Great-Grandfather to Donald Clement. The dates all fit. --Other Fields Baptism: Place: 5 bros. settled on farms in Trenton area and Confirmation: Place: bros. William & Thomas settled in Dysart Twp.
